The entertainment industry is grieving the loss of Roberta Flack.
The legendary "Killing Me Softly with His Song" singer passed away at age 88 on Feb. 24, following her battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which she was diagnosed with in August 2022. In response, many celebrities who admired her work or had personal connections with her shared heartfelt tributes on social media.
"We are heartbroken that the glorious Roberta Flack passed away this morning, February 24, 2025," read a press release announcing her passing. "She died peacefully, surrounded by her family. Roberta broke boundaries and records. She was also a proud educator."
