Fermín Scores 9, Raphinha 8.5 | Real Valladolid 1-2 Barcelona: Player Ratings Breakdown

Barcelona traveled to the Estadio José Zorrilla on Saturday night to face a relegated Real Valladolid side, but what was expected to be a routine fixture turned into a surprisingly tough challenge.

With one eye on the upcoming Champions League semifinal against Inter Milan, Hansi Flick opted for heavy rotation, resting most of his regular starters and leaving only Pedri in the lineup from the usual core.

Despite fielding a second-string XI, Barça entered the match as clear favourites due to Valladolid’s poor run of form. However, the hosts shocked the visitors by taking the lead just five minutes into the game, flipping the script early.

Barcelona struggled to find a response in the first half, prompting Flick to turn to his bench at the break. The changes paid off, as goals from Raphinha and Fermín López turned the game around in the second half to seal a 2-1 comeback victory.

Here are the player ratings from Real Valladolid 1-2 Barcelona, courtesy of Barça Universal:

Marc-André ter Stegen – 6.5
The captain made his long-awaited return after a lengthy injury layoff. While he wasn’t tested too frequently, it was a solid comeback appearance for the German shot-stopper.
